Iva Bittov\u00e1<\/strong> vyr\u016fstala v hudebn\u00ed rodin\u011b na severn\u00ed Morav\u011b v tehdej\u0161\u00edm \u010ceskoslovensku a dne\u0161n\u00ed \u010cesk\u00e9 republice. Ona i jej\u00ed sestry, rovn\u011b\u017e hudebnice, byly siln\u011b ovlivn\u011bny sv\u00fdm otcem, kter\u00fd byl multiinstrumentalistou s hlubok\u00fdmi znalostmi moravsk\u00e9 a slovensk\u00e9 lidov\u00e9 hudby. Jako d\u00edt\u011b nav\u0161t\u011bvovala Iva dramatickou \u0161kolu se zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm na housle a balet, pot\u00e9 byla p\u0159ijata na hudebn\u011b-dramatick\u00fd obor na brn\u011bnsk\u00e9 hudebn\u00ed konzervato\u0159i.<\/p>\n

B\u011bhem \u0161koly a po jej\u00edm absolvov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u016fsobila jako here\u010dka a hudebnice v brn\u011bnsk\u00e9m Divadle Husa na prov\u00e1zku, co\u017e ji p\u0159ivedlo k hlavn\u00edm hereck\u00fdm rol\u00edm v rozhlasov\u00fdch, televizn\u00edch a filmov\u00fdch inscenac\u00edch. Po p\u0159ed\u010dasn\u00e9 smrti sv\u00e9ho otce Iva znovu probudila l\u00e1sku k housl\u00edm a rozhodla se j\u00edt v jeho profesion\u00e1ln\u00edch stop\u00e1ch jako instrumentalistka a skladatelka.<\/p>\n

V roce 1982 za\u010dala studovat u profesora Rudolfa \u0160\u0165astn\u00e9ho, prvn\u00edho houslisty Moravsk\u00e9ho smy\u010dcov\u00e9ho kvarteta, a piln\u011b pracovala na rozvoji sv\u00e9ho jedine\u010dn\u00e9ho hudebn\u00edho stylu. Od t\u00e9 doby vydala 37 CD nahr\u00e1vek, spolupracovala se sv\u011btozn\u00e1m\u00fdmi hudebn\u00edky, jako jsou Fred Frith, Bill Frisell, Bang on a Can All Stars a Bobby McFerrin, a hojn\u011b koncertovala, v\u010detn\u011b velitelsk\u00fdch vystoupen\u00ed pro Dal\u00edho Lamu a st\u00e1tn\u00edch ceremoni\u00ed na po\u010dest V\u00e1clava Havla, George W. Bushe, Michaila Gorba\u010dova, Helmuta Kohla a Margaret Thatcherov\u00e9. V roce 2018 Iva z\u00edskala magistersk\u00fd titul v oboru star\u00e1 hudba\/muzikologie na Masarykov\u011b univerzit\u011b v Brn\u011b.
